Prospective Undergraduate Research Assistants

The Latino Adolescents, Siblings, and Families (LASF) Lab provides undergraduate students with advanced research training and experience in psychology by working with faculty, postdoctoral scholars, project staff, graduate students, and other advanced undergraduate students. Currently, the lab is focused on preparing for the first phase of data collection for our Vivimos Unidos Project, which is aimed toward understanding how adolescents’ family experiences and cultural values such as familismo/familism, impact youth psychological adjustment. We are currently recruiting and interviewing Mexican-origin families (mothers, fathers, and two adolescent siblings) and will continue to do so over the next 2 years. Undergraduate research assistants will conduct at-home interviews with families and participate in all activities that support ongoing projects. This includes weekly lab meetings, data management, and active data collection through at-home interviews with Mexican-origin families. Time spent on work in the LASF Lab should comprise 1-2 credit hours.

Interested students should contact Dr. Padilla (jpadill5@nd.edu) to complete the application form.
